Angels Among Us
Angels Among Us
GOD communicates to us in many ways; by dreams; visions, gifts of the Spirit; or the Holy Spirit, Himself. We should consider this to be a miracle. I do. And not take these things lightly. Another way, is through the contact of an angel. First of all, let me tell you this RARELY happens. GOD uses these other forms of communication on a regular basis. Why? Because I think the end days are full of demonic presences which claim to be of His agency, but are in fact, from Satan. This is happening right now. So, if GOD allowed such contact then we would be desensitized to such wonderful miracles as His ministering angels appearing.
The speculation about angels send many into wondering their abilities and endeavors. Why don’t they appear more, or do we have guardian angels? When they do come, just how do we know which side they reside?
I know people who are very curious about angels. They wonder how do we know a good one from a bad one. They ask me, are ministers calling upon angels unaware they are not getting the correct messenger which works for GOD?
Well, let’s begin with GOD’s creatures and how they came to be.
The angels were created before us, and before the physical worlds. They are considered to be ministering messenger from GOD, working for GOD. They are an extension of GOD’s Will. They are given powers to do GOD’s Will. When GOD created the worlds, the angels chose to fall with Lucifer. Upon the fall, they retained their powers but lose their status in heaven.
So, we have the two sides which are in direct conflict.
The fact is that angels in the higher realms, do not for the most part, have contact with humans. They stand back and watch. This is the reason why the angels which fell with Lucifer are called, “The Watchers”.
Angels are here, unaware. They remain, largely anonymous because GOD has His Laws which they must abide by. Even the fallen angels don’t come forward on a regular basis, but this will soon change. Their presence in the last days are written of in Revelation.
Why are angels rarely spoken of in the Bible? I believe this is because of the warnings which we’re given therein. Examples would included the worship of angels. This will be the case in these last days, in fact, it’s already taking place.
They do come forward because people call upon angels for many reasons. It’s not uncommon for people to call upon who they call their ‘guardian angel’. Then, we have those who actually call on fallen angels to accomplish tasks for the dark side.
You see, the issues taking place on Earth right now are those of angels coming who claim to be good, but are exactly the opposite. We are warned that Lucifer/Satan has come as a ‘angel of light’…and this parallels the presence of these other fallen angels. (2 Corinthians 11:14)
An angel is not be be believed simply because the angel is a spirit. We are taught to test the spirits. (1 John 4:1)
Therefore, we are warned there are ‘deceitful spirits’. (1 Timothy 4:1)
We are told that there will be angels who come bearing false doctrines. I believe this is because Jesus Christ is warning us these messengers will come and the last days will be exactly why He warns us of this. (Galations 1:8)
This is the extreme situation we are experiencing now…angels coming ministering false doctrines. The development of a “religion of angels” has been taking place with many people who are unaware. The Bible warns us that were are not to delight in the false humility and worship of angels, and their false doctrine. (Colossians 2:18)
We have ministers/pastors who call upon angels, and claim many miracles are taking place in their churches. I don’t claim to know if these are actual angels sent from GOD, but I warns those who are claiming this to test these angels.
Many have claimed these angels come from GOD, and they bring messages from GOD. But, in the research I’ve read, many of these people explain that these ‘special messengers’ have NEVER quoted one verse of Scripture. Don’t you think this is odd? A heavenly angel which does not quote GOD’s Word! Although the people admit that these angels will not leave without giving Biblical references of ‘where’ the message could be found, they did not quote them verbatim. Strange, don’t you agree?
How do we know if angels are from GOD or Satan?
ANGELS ON ASSIGNMENT
There is no doubt that angels are given assignments, but the author of these assignments dictates which qualify as good and bad.
Discernment is the ability to supernaturally determine right from wrong.
Next, we will discuss HOW we know, and HOW to test if they are good or bad. (1 Thessalonians 5: 21 and 1 John 4:1)
1. Are angels identified by non-biblical names?
2. Are they performing roles beyond what the Bible describes?
3. Are angels given extracurricular activities?
4. Are any angels sources beyond Biblical affirmation?
5. Are these angels proclaiming ‘another’ gospel?
6. Do they appear and leave without quoting The Word of GOD…word for word?
If the answer to ANY of these five questions is ‘yes’, then they FAIL to be an angel of GOD.
Discernment is needed in this situation. We are to ALWAYS center our attention on GOD, not His messengers. This is a first warning. Secondly, we are to never seek communication with angels, good or bad.
We can ask for help. But, we must ask GOD to send His heavenly angels to help us. If we do not include GOD in this equation, then the reception of a supernatural creature could be demonic.
1.) Are angels identified as any name other than a Biblically given one?
Do some of these presences which come to you, come with names others than those given in the Bible? The false doctrine given by angels include those same names given in the Bible of angels who came in the Name of GOD. But, they also have names never spoken in the Bible. Of course, there are names of angels which are not spoken in the Bible for GOD has millions, perhaps billions and billions of angels, so this is possible. But, we are to discern these names, just as we are to spirit itself.
2.) Angels roles in Heaven and Earth.
Performing roles which are not given as examples in the Bible is clearly a sign of their agenda. Are they visiting for hours on end? Do they speak of themselves constantly? The Biblical versions of visitations of angels are rare and the time is short. Actually, angel visits are quite rare, and their words are few. They have a purpose, they serve it and leave. They do not linger. They never serve to pump up their status or position. Angels are messengers of GOD, and are meant as an extension of GOD’s Hand.
3.) Telling of future events.
Angels who tell of events to come are rare also. When such a rare occasion occurs, are they delivering ‘dates’ of a situation which will occur? This is not something GOD’s angels do, ever. Most likely this is a angel of Satan, and the event described will never take place because they don’t know what’s coming, only GOD has that power and authority. Although we do see Biblical events where angels announce extraordinary events and interpret divine visions, they never give length messages. This is exactly what we see occurring today.
Angels are not meant as a judge and jury. They don’t come seeking your salvation! The Bible never suggests such an event. Nor is this a role for an angel.
Fallen angels lie! They will try to convince you they were part of an event which took place in the Biblical days. So, be aware of this. They will tell you they have unlimited power and can see the future. This is false. Only GOD is omnipotent! Only GOD is omnipresent! Only GOD is omniscient!
4.) Biblical Sources or not?
Are the angels giving Biblical facts? Or are they giving more than what the Bible tells us? Amazingly, people who are having these visitations are not discerning what they are being told. Are these angels giving a revelation which pertains mainly to their work, instead of GOD’s? Are they promising you that they have it all under control? Are they telling you even when circumstances arise beyond your control, they have it all under control? Wait…where is GOD in this description? This takes from the sovereignty of GOD. In fact, omniscience needs no such help. GOD is in total control, not any angel.
Does the angel give any suggestion that he has any insights outside of Scripture? Angels are not omnipresent. They don’t have any insights other than what GOD gives them. Any angel who claims to know the predictions of the stars, or the state of their destruction is giving false information.
5. The One and Only Gospel
Angels which proclaim the word of GOD are true and righteous, but if they claim teachings which are not in the Bible, then they are bringing another gospel; a false doctrine.
I know of many who have questions concerning the extra-Biblical books which were claimed to be ‘lost’. This is a first clue. GOD sent His Word. Anything other than this is questionable. I was intrigued by these ‘lost’ books and began reading them with enthusiasm, but I soon realized they spoke words not in the Bible. It was a partial truth. Changing words, even whole sentences to form one which had different definitions.
Any writing which aligns with the Bible but varies in its path in any other direction is false doctrine. There are many books which have brought forward which ‘seem’ to align with Scripture but once you take a deep insight, you realize it’s not the same. One can quote words which can seem to be of GOD, but are not. They will lead you astray.
I have read books which speak of the gates of heaven and hell. Telling in great detail about the things therein. But where in the Bible does it say such things?
6.) Quoting the Word
DOCTRINES OF DEMONS–If any angel comes claiming to be an angel of GOD, yet does not quote the Bible, word for word….then he is in questionable authority.
This is how the fallen angels change the Word and doctrines.
ANGEL OF LIGHT-A common misconception is that the angel which came to them was ‘bright’ and ‘large’. Remember all angels were GOD’s creation from the beginning of time. Therefore, their presence has not changed, nor their powers. They can be misconstrued as GOD’s angel just because of their ‘looks’ and appearance.
Princes of darkness come as light.
DO NOT seek angels…seek Jesus Christ.
