Correlations Between the Antichrist and the Islamic Mahdi PT2
PART ONE: THE MAHDI VS. THE ANTICHRIST
COMPARISON 1: WORLD LEADER
The Antichrist as world ruler.
Prophecies depicting the Antichrist as the end times one world ruler are found throughout the Bible. To show biblical support for this prophecy, we will be using the Old Testament passage of Daniel and the New Testament passage of Revelation.
Daniel 7 (Complete Context Link).
After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule. After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.
While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully.
The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
In the entire context of Daniel 7, Daniel receives a vision of the succession of world empires. His prophecy has so far proven to be correct with the fulfillment of the Neo-Babylonian, Medo-Persia, Greek, and Roman empire. The final one to be fulfilled is the fourth, which will be the last empire of this age, the Antichrist government. ‘The Little Horn’ mentioned above is the Antichrist.
Cross reference the above prophecy of Daniel with Revelation 13:
And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion… The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.
So the ‘fourth beast’ is the final world empire the Antichrist (the ‘little horn’) will rule. He will have dominion over the entire world, every tribe, and every nation. He will devour his enemies and be victorious for a certain amount of time. The imagery is clear the fourth beast of Daniel is an empire while the little horn with eyes and a mouth will be the human Antichrist. According to the significance between Biblical numerics, the number ten denotes government and law. The ‘ten horns’ is symbolic of a government and political power that the little horn will rule.
The Antichrist is described as first usurping the power of three horns then finally overcoming all ten to become the ultimate world ruler and the ten will ultimately follow the AC:
The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.
The Mahdi as world ruler.
According to Islam, the Mahdi will also be an unparalleled world leader and will preside over his empire as the final Caliph of Islam.
The world will not come to an end until a man from the descendants of Hussain takes charge of the affairs of the world and fills it with justice and equity as it is filled with injustice and tyranny.
-Bihar al-anwar, Vol. 51, P. 66
[Al Mahdi] will fight against the forces of evil, lead a world revolution, and set up a new world order based on justice, righteousness, and virtue.
-Ayatullah Baqir al-Sadr and Ayatullah Muratda Mutahhari, The Awaited Savior, pp. 4,5
When the Mahdi arrives, Islam teaches he will unite the world under his Islamic government and put an end to all other governments. While the Judeo-Christian prophecies warn of this future government and leader, Islam hails the Mahdi as a type of savior for humanity:
The Mahdi from among my descendants, from my family, will rise at the End of Time, while the heavens will pour rain and the earth will bring forth green grass for him. He will fill the earth with justice and equity as it is filled with tyranny and injustice.

RESEARCH: MUHAMMAD,ISLAM & THE BEAST
Who is the Beast?
“Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.” (1 Jn 2:22)
Muhammad denied that Jesus is the Son of God as do all Muslims today. Which begs the question, “Was Muhammad the Antichrist?” Take note of the grammar in the above, “He is antichrist” in contrast to 1 John 2:18 which states “the Antichrist is coming.” Also refer back to my first post on the Antichrist, recalling that the term is used in two distinct ways, one being descriptive of a spirit of false doctrine and the other of a specific title for a future world leader. Muhammad meets the criteria of the former.
Like the Roman emperor Nero, Muhammad is a type of the future Antichrist. Also like Nero, Muhammad is dead and buried in Mecca so he obviously doesn’t meet the criteria we are looking for in a coming world leader. As Ashley demonstrated, it is the Imam Mahdi that matches the Antichrist Beast profile of Revelation 13 quite well.
The Spirit of Antichrist
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world”
(1 Jn 4:1-3)
A prominently displayed inscription on The Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem denies that Jesus rose from the dead and that God has a son.
Oh God, bless Your Messenger and Your servant Jesus son of Mary. Peace be on him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he shall be raised alive! Such was Jesus, son of Mary, (this is) a statement of the truth concerning which they doubt. It befitteth not (the Majesty of) God that He should take unto Himself a son. Glory be to Him!
This denial of Gods Son is posted on the temple mount within a stones throw of the original Holy of Holies. The prophetic impact can not be overstated. Does this not qualify as an abomination of desolation in the holy place? At the minimum it is a symbolic type. The al-Aqsa mosque itself has strong prophetic impact as well. I will demonstrate some very compelling mathematical evidence regarding this structure in a coming post. Suffice it to say for now, that Islam fits the description of “the spirit of the Antichrist,” found in 1 John 4:3.
The Number of the Beast
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” (Re 13:18)
There has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding ex Palestine Liberation Order jihadist Walid Shoebat’s conversion to Christianity and consequent whistle blowing but nothing else is quite as compelling as his revelation on revelation 13:18. While studying a very old New Testament Greek text he thought the Greek figure for 666 bore an uncanny resemblance to the Arabic character “Bismillah” which means “in the name of Allah.” Here is what he saw:
The scimitar and crossed swords are also a symbol for Islam. Consider the seal of the Muslim brotherhood.
Adding the sword symbols with the Arabic for “Allah” (turned and mirrored) – side by side with the Greek text.
This is very provocative but I’ll be the first to admit it is conjecture. If Shoebat’s account seems a stretch consider that Arabic was his first language and Islam the religion he was indoctrinated into. He noticed it immediately; in fact he didn’t think it was Greek at all. Taken alone it might be dismissed as a curiosity with potential – but not so fast – let me direct the reader to this website of a Turkish Islamic sect that claims 666 is the number of the Quran!
“The number 666 is highly publicized all over the world and it is associated with evil and danger. However, it is not what it seems. It was a Satanic trick. The trick was to prevent the people approaching the 666. Satan knew that the 666 is the book of GOD and the people should be kept away from it. According to his plan, he placed a bad image to the number 666.”
While I do not think most Muslims ascribe to this Turkish group that labels the Quran 666, they are not the only ones. Also see Universal Unity 666 for a passionate Muslim apologetic for the number of the beast. When viewed in light of Walid Shoebat’s interpretation of the Greek the connection between Islam and the number of the beast is not so easy to dismiss.
The Mark of the Beast
“He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom.
There have been a myriad of speculations regarding the mark of the beast. From the bar codes of the 1980s to the RFID chips of today imaginations run wild. While I find these speculations to be interesting, they all seem to miss the point of the Biblical text. Most of the popular conjectures center on universal ID numbers or codes which would be useful in implementing a worldwide cashless monetary system. While I do believe that sort of technology will be used to control the buying and selling aspect, the mark of the beast is not your ID number it’s his name or his number! The other peculiar part is having his name or number on your right hand or forehead. What if the demonstration of allegiance to the Beast system is more like a uniform? Is Hamas telling us something in this photograph? Don’t they have his name on their foreheads?
At first glance this might appear to be a crass jab at Islam – but one must concede the analogy has explanatory merit. The conspicuous similarity between the sign of Allah and the number of beast as recorded in the Greek text is astounding. The correlation to the terrorists head bands is meant to provoke thought. I assure you the connection is based on more than mere conjecture. This will show, with sources, that during the predicted era of the Imam Mahdi, Muslims will have the sign of Allah on their foreheads just as the book of Revelation predicts that the Antichrist will place the number of the beast on the hand or forehead.
